Chenango County Probation Department
This program follows each probation individual's involvement in the Treatment Court (TC) process, commencing with the pre-plea/pre-sentence investigation, then the signing of a TC contract, and through to graduation after achieving 365 days of uninterrupted sobriety. The individuals accepted into the program will have felonies sentenced to probation or placed on Intensive Probation Supervision by County Court. The probation department’s liaison to Treatment Court attends regularly scheduled TC court sessions and meetings and works intensively with the TC Coordinator and local substance abuse/mental health treatment agencies, social and employment services to encourage offender accountability and compliance.
