This program include screening, eligibility determinations, monitoring/supervision functions, where appropriate, and court notification of those who fail to satisfy release requirements. The program coordinator maintains routine contact with staff at the correctional facility to identify new intakes and process eligible candidates for the program. ROR and RUS participants remain steady via regular communication with courts/judges. The program continues to maintain electronic monitoring (EM) passive GPS bracelets for any identified/ eligible participants.

This program provides the criminal courts with a sentencing alternative using community service for offenders with sentences of adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, conditional discharge or probation. Individuals will be required to make reparation for their crimes through their performance of community service. The project monitors compliance with release conditions. Project operations also include offender selection, worksite selection and oversight, court/probation notification activities, referrals to human services and management of accident/liability reports.
