This program provides criminal court clients eligibility/risk assessments (use of Niagara’s RAI), monitoring/supervision, and Information & Referral (I&R) services. All new detainees, except Parole Violators, are screened for services.

Cortland County Probation Department
This program provides the criminal courts with sentencing alternatives using community service for individuals with sentences of adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, conditional discharge or probation. Individuals are required to make reparation for their crimes through performance of community service. The project monitors compliance with release conditions. Project operations also include offender selection, worksite selection, and oversight, court/probation notification activities, referrals to human service and management of accident/liability reports.
