Law File Changes- February 1, 2005

Note: Laws added to the file since the last posting in October, 2004 begin with relative address/law ordinal 7111. Be aware, however, that changes/corrections have been made to existing laws. A summary is shown below, but may not be complete. We recommend that, if possible, you completely overwrite the existing law file with the new one.

Drug Law Reform:

The Rockefeller drug law reform bill (S7802) signed by the Governor on December 14 , 2004, amended subdivision 1 of both PL 220.18 and PL 220.21 by increasing the aggregate weight requirement. We repealed and reupdated those subdivisions, and the corresponding “generic” versions (no subdivision specified), as well; specifically, ordinals 2479, 2480, 2489, and 2490.

Other Law Changes:

Ordinal 5536, FP_OFFENSE was changed to F (false). A date_invalidated was added to ordinals 5794, 6337, and 6450, which had been repealed and re-updated in 2004. An effective date was added to ordinals 4311, 5235 and 6338. A repeal date was added to ordinals 6419-6421, and 6714-6716.

Attempted_DNA indicator changed on relative address 2078. Effective date changed on 5873, effective date added on 6997; effective and repeal dates added to 6663. The UCR code was corrected on 6605, 6681 and 6695.
