This program began operation in 1989. Agency services are assessment, enhanced information services, and bail expediting. Target populations are detainees with $5,000.00 bail or less without pending warrants.

This program began operation in 1985. This project provides the criminal courts with a sentencing alternative through the use of community service for offenders with sentences of adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, conditional discharge or probation. Offenders will be required to make reparation for their crimes through performance of community service. The project monitors compliance with release conditions. Project operations also include offender selection, worksite selection and oversight, court/probation notification activities, referrals to human services and management of accident/liability reports.

This program began operation in 1990. This agency provides direct treatment and refers clients for residential services and drug and alcoholism rehabilitation. This is a day treatment program. Target populations are convicted offenders that have their sentence reduced from a felony.

This program began operation in 1979. The Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) is an Alternative to Incarceration operation provided to superior courts and Local Conditional Release Commissions by participating probation departments. ISP offers a credible sentencing and community supervision option for offenders who would otherwise be incarcerated. Agency services provided are primarily eligibility assessments, court ordered restrictions, monitoring, field supervision and intensive supervision.

This program began operation in 1990. Agency services are assessment, enhanced information services and monitored release. Target populations are all pretrial detainees, 16 and above, who were not released on their own recognizance after having received a positive recommendation by Pre-Trial Services.

This program began operation in 1976. This project provides all criminal court clients, initially unable to post bail, the opportunity to be interviewed to determine eligibility for release from jail. The interview process objectively assesses the defendant's qualifications for release through release on his/her own recognizance (ROR), or, where the court determines the risk of absconding to be greater, through release under supervision (RUS). Program operations include screening, eligibility determinations, monitoring functions where appropriate, and court notification of those who fail to satisfy release requirements.

This is an agency of county government. Agency services include the preparation of pre-sentence investigations and reports for the criminal courts and the supervision of criminals sentenced to probation. Investigation and supervision functions are also provided for criminals released from jail by the Local Conditional Release Commission. Intake, investigation and supervision services are provided for Family Court. Many discretionary services for pretrial and alternative sentencing are also provided. This county probation department participates in PINS (Persons In Need of Supervision) Adjustment services programming, coordinated by the Youth Bureau.

This program began operation in 1978. Agency case management services are primarily assessment, referral, court advocacy, monitoring and supervision. This agency also refers clients for bail expediting, court ordered restrictions, counseling, education services, fine imposition/fee collection, housing assistance, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and residential services. Target populations are those 16 and older with mental health, alcohol or drug problems who are also charged with a misdemeanor or felony.

This program serves male inmates aged 16 to 24 years old at the Westchester County Department of Corrections. This project provides education, drug education and assessment, and employment to young offenders to prepare them for early release and prevent future involvement in the criminal justice system. The program consists of the following components: academic, vocational, drug education, spirituality and job placement. In addition, the program also includes a physical training/activities component designed to improve the offender’s physical conditioning and instill a feeling of camaraderie among program participants.
