Definition: For NON-CURRENCY - The maturity or issue date of the security.

For CURRENCY - The series year (4 numeric and any alpha suffix) as found on the face of the currency.
Standard of Verification: Internal agency documents or electronic records.

Comments: This is a NCIC standard.
For NON-CURRENCY securities the first character of this field must be:
M - designating maturity date
P - designating a prepared or issue date or
B - when no maturity or issue date is available.
The next eight (8) characters contain the date in CCYYMMDD Format except when no maturity or issue date is available
then the nine character field they will contain "BLANK_ _ _ _".
For CURRENCY the series year is entered beginning in Column 1.
