Current Summary of Changes to the Coded Law File

Law File Changes – November 2010

Note: Laws added to the file since the last posting on October 26, 2010 begin with relative address/law ordinal 8093. Be aware, however, that changes/corrections have been made to existing laws. A summary is shown below, but may not be complete. We recommend that you overwrite the existing law file with the new one.  Most notable is the addition of the Sexually_Motivated_Ind field to the coded law table. This field is populated with a boolean value that will indicate whether a charge is Sexually Motivated = T or F.

Legislation:

S 6987—A; amends the penal law, the criminal procedure law, the domestic relations law, the executive law, the family court act, the social services law, the mental hygiene law and the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and Strangulation.
