Current Summary of Changes to the Coded Law File
Law File Changes – January 18, 2013
Note: Laws added to the file since the last posting on September 14, 2012 begin with relative address/law ordinal 8203. Be aware, however, that changes/corrections have been made to existing laws. A summary is shown below, but may not be complete. We recommend that you overwrite the existing law file with the new one. Important: Please run the SQL Create Script below, before running the SQL Insert Script.
Please note that further updates have been made to laws that were assigned the RDLR-Indicator, first done in the last law posting of September 14, 2012. This indicator was added to capture the charges that are eligible for sealing under Rockefeller Drug Law Reform pursuant to CPL 160.58.
With this new posting, a new file format is available to replace the legacy mainframe flat file, the content however is based on our Oracle table as the mainframe law table no longer exists due to the decommissioning of our mainframe.
Legislation:
A 10173 - Relates to the crime of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child to include knowingly accessing with intent to view such material.
A9058-D - Enacts major components of legislation necessary to implement transportation, economic development and environmental conservation budget for 2012 - 2013.
A 10624 - Enacts various provisions of law deemed necessary by the state, including establishing a domestic violence fatality review team; and issues related to confidentiality.

Repealed Law Ordinals 5486 and 6255 - replaced with 8217, 8218, 8219, 8220
Added new Law Ordinals 8217 thru 8220 - per NY Penal Law Article 10624
Added new Law Ordinal 8221 - VTL 0375(10-E); No Convex Mirror – Truck over 26,000 pounds
Added new Law Ordinals 8222 thru 8226 - Ag and Markets offenses requested by an SPCA
Modified Law ordinals 3840, 7479 and 7590 - set the Armed VFO Indicator to True
